Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

This position provides assistance to the Program Manager of New Student and Retention Programs. The student will help carry out the daily operations including assisting with new student orientation, success coach program, first year experience, student success workshops and more. The student employee will work under the supervision of the Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with branding and marketing of new department
• Plan and execute events for first year experience
• Research parent programs at two-year colleges
• Plan and execute student success workshops
• Evaluate success and transition efforts
• Filing paperwork
• Data entry
• Helping assess survey results
• May assist Student Life, Academic Advising, and Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning with collaborative efforts and projects related to student success and retention.
• Other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in Georgia Highlands College
• Must be Pell Grant eligible (FAFSA)
• Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
• Must have an unmet need based on total cost of attendance of student

Salary $8.00/hour
