Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

This administrative support role will provide the student with the opportunity to see behind the scenes in HR, to gain a better understanding of how selection processes work, how talent management systems are integrated into selection, what is involved in setting pay for a position and much more. This type of information will be beneficial to the student in preparation for entering the work force when degrees are completed.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs project based duties
• Maintains HR records
• Answers telephone and greets visitors
• Prepares Word documents
• Distributes materials
• Makes copies/faxes/scans materials
• Performs other HR related duties

Key Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in Georgia Highlands College
• Must be Pell Grant eligible (FAFSA)
• Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
• Must have an unmet need based on total cost of attendance of student

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to provide excellent customer service
• Ability to work independently with basic functions in Microsoft Office applications
• Organizational skills
• Skill in oral and written communication

Salary $8.00/hour
