Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for the set-up and take down of intramural and club sports, as well as the upkeep and rental of the outdoor recreation equipment. Reports to the Intramural Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Intramural Coordinator in scheduling
• Monitor all intramural events
• Create an atmosphere where students are comfortable and safe
• Take various steps to ensure only students, faculty or staff are participating
• Monitor the game room and check-out equipment
• Participate in all training sessions
• Collaborate with various clubs and Student Life for events
• Represent the college in a positive manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Key Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in Georgia Highlands College
• Must be Pell Grant eligible (FAFSA)
• Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
• Must have an unmet need based on the total cost of student attendance
• A strong role model to other students
• At least one semester completed at GHC and 2.5 GPA

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to lift and move equipment
• Ability to take directions and show initiative
• Ability to balance a variety of activities, including academic and extracurricular
• Skill in the analysis of problems and the development and implementation of solutions
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of University System and college policies and procedures.

Salary $8.00/hour
