Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for the preparing and delivering instruction of Physical Education for a multi-site campus in the University System of Georgia. Key Qualifications

• Master’s degree in subject or Master’s degree with 18 hours of graduate-level courses in Psychology
• Must be available to teach day, evening, or weekend at any of the Georgia Highlands College instructional sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage courses through systematic use of syllabi
• Keep accurate records of students’ class performance, attendance, and grades
• Adopt and implement common course objectives
• Attend part-time faculty orientation prior to the beginning of the semester
• Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge sufficient to thoroughly understand the diverse functions of delivering instruction in higher education
• Skill in communication of instruction
• Organizational skills and ability to maintaining accurate records
• Ability to thoroughly understand and employ the appropriate use of instructional technology
